ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A man is accused of stealing from a Chesterfield restaurant.

Charging documents accuse Lasane Whitley, 37, of being armed with a pistol when he walked into Dave’s Hot Chicken in Chesterfield just after midnight on Oct. 4. After entering the restaurant, Whitley allegedly entered the manager’s office and attempted to take a bank bag with cash inside from the manager after shoving the pistol into his side.

A struggle between Whitley and the victim then began, which ended when the suspect took the bag.

After officers were told a description of the suspect, they found Whitley and arrested him.

Whitley is charged with first-degree robbery, armed criminal action, receiving stolen property and fourth-degree assault.
