RCMP in Bay Roberts arrested a man wanted by the RNC after he was found passed out behind the wheel of a pickup.

RCMP were called shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Monday by a concerned citizen who feared that the unconscious man was in distress.

The pickup was on the off-ramp from the Veteran’s Memorial to Roaches Line.

The driver, 34-year-old Rodney Noseworthy of CBS, was taken to hospital where a blood sample was collected.

RCMP determined that the RNC had issued a warrant for Noseworthy’s arrest on three counts of failing to comply with the conditions of his release order.

Noseworthy’s licence was suspended, and his vehicle was seized and impounded. Police are waiting on the results of the blood test to determine if charges of impaired driving are appropriate.
