Energy NL Receives Responses from Party Leaders to Energy Industry Questions

Energy NL has received responses from all three political leaders to a list of questions asked about energy policies on issues of importance to the local industry.

On the matter of emissions cap regulations, the NDP indicated that it supports better regulations and would work with Ottawa to determine if the regulations are working as intended.

The PCs indicated that the emissions cap equates to a cap on production and should be eliminated.

The Liberals told Energy NL that it has been advocating for the cancellation of the federal emissions cap, and will continue to do so.
