A woman has been dragged into a river by a crocodile that then took off with her half-eaten remains in its jaws. Soudamini Mahala, believed to be in her late 50s, had been washing in the Kharasrota River in Odisha, India, on Monday when the beast lunged at her. The Times of India reports the killer was a saltwater crocodile, the world’s largest reptile, capable of growing to 20 feet in length.
