A man was arrested on Monday after barricading himself in a Tulip Street apartment for over four hours.

The 31-year-old man is facing one count of third-degree assault – crimes against an at-risk person; and one count of robbery – crimes against an at-risk person.

Longmont police responded to a report of a disturbance at 12:31 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of Tulip Street, according to an arrest affidavit. The man’s mother, who was in the apartment when the incident began, told Longmont dispatchers that her son said he would kill both her and himself, the affidavit states.
