An arrest made this month for Wanton Destruction of Livestock in Duchesne County does not appear to be related to the malicious livestock killings under investigation by the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, officers were dispatched to the Mini Ranches area of Duchesne County on October 3rd on a report of trespassing in which a man from the Herriman, Utah area had arrived and slaughtered a llama. The man was known to the property owner but the visit was reported as trespassing. The property owner reported that the man said he had purchased a gun and butcher kit, which he brought with him to kill the llama, and then left in a pickup with the slaughtered llama in the back. It was noted that the man was a disabled vet with PTSD. Officers responded
