WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — The man at the center of an hours-long standoff in Warwick faced a judge Tuesday morning.

Tyler Bagley, 33, was arraigned on charges of domestic felony assault, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a crime of violence, and two counts of domestic disorderly conduct.

Prior to Monday's incident, court records show he had been arrested 23 times by nine different police departments in Rhode Island, dating back to at least 2011.

Those charges varied from shoplifting to driving while under the influence, and at the time of his latest arrest, he was out on probation related to a 2024 domestic violence case.

Police were called to a home on Blake Street around 12:30 a.m. Monday for a report of an "intoxicated male acting belligerent with a firearm."
