QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A teenage boy was shot in broad daylight near a busy intersection in Queens on Tuesday afternoon, according to the NYPD.

The 15-year-old victim was shot in the torso near Springfield Boulevard and Union Turnpike at 2:50 p.m., police said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries; his condition is unknown, authorities said.

A suspect dressed in all black fled the location, police said.

Police placed yellow caution tape at the scene of the shooting and closed off the street, video shows.
