Mayci Neeley of Hulu's “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" says in her new memoir that by age 20, she had been abused, drugged and raped by her ex-boyfriend. She moved on to a healthy relationship and accidentally became pregnant, she says, only to find out that her boyfriend was cheating on her.

She started sending vicious text messages to him, she recalls, while he begged for forgiveness. His last text to her was a typo of a single letter: "J."

Just a few hours later, Neeley says, she was at lunch with her mom when she learned via Instagram that the father of her unborn child, was killed in a car crash. She says she realized that he might have died while texting her.

"I was severely depressed," Neeley says in a video interview with TODAY.com. "I’ve never felt like that my entire life.
