UVALDE, Texas — A former Uvalde CISD officer who was charged in connection with the failed response to the 2022 mass shooting at Robb Elementary School has a trial date, ABC News reports .

Adrian Gonzales, one of two senior officers charged in connection with the response to the Robb Elementary School shooting, will go on trial Jan. 5, the judge overseeing the case told ABC.

Judge Sid Harle said there was an agreement to move Gonzales' trial on 29 counts of abandoning and endangering a child during the Robb Elementary School shooting, which left 19 children and two teachers dead, from Uvalde to Corpus Christi.

A pretrial hearing in Gonzales' case scheduled for Oct. 14 was canceled, ABC reports.
