GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) – Police are investigating a crash on Monday night that killed one teenager and injured three others.

Around 8:42 p.m., Greensboro officers, Greensboro firefighters and Guilford County EMS responded to North Lindell Road near the West Wendover Avenue on-ramp about a traffic crash with serious injuries.

A car was heading north on North Lindell Road when it ran off the road to the right and hit a utility pole, according to a Greensboro Police Department news release.

All four teenage boys were taken by ambulance to a hospital.

A 14-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The other passengers, ages 14 and 15, were not critically injured.

The driver, 16, was charged with: • misdemeanor death by motor vehicle • careless and reckless driving •
