New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Tuesday that the club has signed free agent cornerback Michael Davis . Here are five things to know about the Saints roster addition:

A veteran with 122 games played in his NFL career, Davis brings experience under defensive coordinator Brandon Staley's scheme. Davis played under Staley with the Los Angeles Chargers from 2020-2023.

In his 122 games, Davis has started 76 games with the Los Angeles Chargers (2017-2023) and Washington Commanders (2024) and racked up 363 career tackles (282 solo), 70 passes defensed, eight interceptions, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and a sack.

Davis has one touchdown to his name in the NF
