Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders was scheduled to undergo a medical procedure on Tuesday (October 7), but is expected to return to the team the following day, as well as be on the sideline against Iowa State on Saturday (October 11), ESPN reports.

Sanders, 58, a College and Pro Football Hall of Fame cornerback, feared that he was once again dealing with blood clots during the Buffaloes' loss to the TCU Horned Frogs last Saturday (October 4) and provided a medical update at the end of his weekly press conference.

"I cannot wait to get past this hurdle." Sanders said, acknowledging that blood clots were hereditary and "has nothing to do with me working at the level I'm trying to compete at," via ESPN .
