PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Prime Big Deal Days sale is here. The company says there are millions of deals available over two days: 30% off select Lego sets, up to 50% off Samsonite travel gear, and Levi’s denim. Electronics also have a range of deep discounts that are the real deal, but there could be problems lurking on spoofed sites.
“They’re trying to exploit a sense of urgency,” said Check Point’s Aaron Rose.
According to the company’s new research, 727 new, Amazon-related websites were created in September, right ahead of the sale and the kickoff to the holiday shopping season.
“That is cause for concern because that tells us that they’re gearing up, they’re preparing for some sort of attack,” Rose said.
Some of the ‘Amazon-inspired’ sites led to domains that look almost identical
