(AP) - Former Atlanta United midfielder Darlington Nagbe is calling it a career after 15 MLS seasons. The Columbus Crew, Nagbe’s current club, made the announcement Tuesday.

Nagbe played for the Five Stripes in 2018 and 2019 and was a key piece of the MLS Cup-winning squad in 2018. He made 74 total appearances for Atlanta.

The 35-year-old also won MLS titles with Portland in 2015 and Columbus in 2020 and 2023. He has been the Crew captain since 2020.

His 444 regular-season MLS appearances are fifth behind Nick Rimando (514), Kyle Beckerman (498), Dax M
