MADISON (WKOW) — Madison police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Sunday at 5:15 p.m. near Mendota Street at Ridgeway Avenue.

The incident involved a 20-year-old victim who was approached by a suspect from a black SUV, according to an incident report .

The victim stated that the suspect, who jumped out of the vehicle, pointed a gun at him and demanded he empty his pockets and remove his shirts and shoes. The suspect then left north on Mendota Street toward Lien Road in the SUV, which had two other people inside.
