NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Conservation groups are suing the Water and Wastewater Authority of Wilson County (WWAWC) and Adenus Operations.

The Southern Law Center (SELC), on behalf of the Tennessee Scenic Rivers Association (TSRA) and the Sierra Club, filed a lawsuit against WWAWC and Adenus Operations, the wastewater treatment company, over a sewage system in the Ridgewater Estates subdivision.

The lawsuit alleges that WWAWC and Adenus illegally release wastewater into residential yards, waterways and part of Old Hickory Lake.
