NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Ground Delay was issued at the Nashville International Airport due to a staffing issue on Tuesday, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The FAA reported that departures to BNA were delayed by an average of 126 minutes. The Ground Delay was active from 4 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday.

BNA released a statement on Tuesday afternoon regarding travel on Tuesday.

BNA said that the FAA notified the Metro Nashville Airport Authority at 1:25 p.m. that flights arriving and departing from BNA would be reduced due to a shortage of air traffic controllers.
