KANNAPOLIS — A.L. Brown announced on Monday that Ka’seim Black will be the new head baseball coach, replacing Empsy Thompson, who led the Wonders for decades. “Feeling very covered and blessed right now,” Black said on social media. “Thank you to everyone for your kind words and wishes. Excited to lead and build with the young men in our program. Excited to see you all this Spring! Let’s go.” Black is an A.L. Brown graduate, Class of 2016. He played baseball (outfield) and football (DB) for the Wonders. Black played football at Averett University for four years.
