BETTENDORF, Iowa (KWQC) - A Bettendorf man is facing a sexual exploitation charge after police said he had video of a minor on his phone.

Renard Brooks Jr., 37, is charged with felony sexual exploitation of a minor, cause to engage in act, according to court documents.

In August, Brooks was arrested for allegedly giving a 16-year-old narcotics, according to an arrest affidavit.

During his arrest, police said they took Brooks’ phone, which had multiple photos and videos of the narcotics he had and a video including himself and the teen.

Brooks was released on his own recognizance on Tuesday morning, according to the Scott County Jail website .

Brooks has an arraignment scheduled on Nov. 6, according to court documents.
