WALLINGFORD, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - Vermont State Police said Tuesday that a body was recovered near Nash Drive in Wallingford. The body has not yet been identified.

The recovery was reportedly made in the course of an ongoing search for Rodney Davis, 62, who was reported to be on foot in the same area with a firearm after an incident on September 19. Police were looking for Davis as a suspect and said that he was wanted for first-degree aggravated domestic assault. ABC22/FOX44's previous article on that incident is below.

During that incident, police were able to talk to Davis on the phone, but abruptly lost contact and said that they believed his cell phone was out of battery.
