CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa now has a full slate of confirmed U.S. Attorneys for the first time in more than four years.

The U.S. Senate on Tuesday c onfirmed more than 100 of President Trump’s nominees to a variety of positions. Senate Democrats had been blocking the nomination process until Republicans changed the rules last month to allow them to confirm lower-level nominees by a simple majority vote.

Among the nominees confirmed Tuesday are Leif Olson to serve as the U.S. Attorney for Iowa’s Northern District, based in Cedar Rapids, and David Waterman to serve as U.S. Attorney for Iowa’s Southern District, based in Des Moines.
