Uh oh, Jerry Jones is in trouble.
The NFL fined the Dallas Cowboys' owner $250,000 for a "hand gesture" (specifically, a middle finger) made toward fans at MetLife Stadium late in Dallas' 37-22 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday.
Jones is going to appeal the fine and termed the middle-finger salute "inadvertent." He said he was aiming it toward Cowboy fans (to be fair, there were a lot of them there and they took over the stadium by the end of the game) and the middle finger was supposed to be a thumbs up, but he had the "wrong show on the hand" (plausible deniability gets a bit stretched here).
