Augusta authorities are investigating the alleged murder of a homeless man and are seeking another possibly homeless man as a suspect.

The man was found dead at about 2 p.m. behind the Chevron gas station at 1501 Laney Walker Boulevard, according to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office. After investigating, the sheriff's office believes he was murdered. The victim was not identified by the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office is seeking Jeffrey Taiwan Eutsay, 43, who they believe is also homeless, for the alleged murder. Authorities described Eutsay as Black, 5-foot-9, and weighing 195 pounds. Anyone who spots Eutsay or knows his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
