NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Property crime is trending downward across Nashville after a sharp rise just two years ago.

But one Metro Nashville Councilmember said it's not time to celebrate just yet.

In a growing city like Nashville, crime is inevitable. While there have been improvements compared to previous years, crime is still occurring every day in neighborhoods.

"Overall efforts to reduce crime in Nashville have been successful in the violent crime area; to say crime is down across the board is not the case," District 14 Metro Councilmember Jordan Huffman said.
