NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The polls are now closed in the October 7 primaries in Middle Tennessee for the U.S. House District 7 Special Election.
The special election, which will be held in December, is to determine who will replace Mark Green. In June, Green announced he would be retiring from the U.S. House of Representatives.
The district represents all or part of 14 counties in Middle Tennessee, including Davidson, Montgomery, and Williamson counties.
Eleven candidates are on the Republican ballot, while four appear on the Democratic ticket.
