GRANT COUNTY, Wash. -- A man died in a crash in Grant County on Tuesday morning, according to Washington State Patrol.

Around 10:30 a.m. on October 7, a 26-year-old man was driving north on SR-281 near milepost 2, just two miles north of George.

WSP said the driver then crossed the center line and crashed into an oncoming vehicle, driven by a 30-year-old Puyallup woman.

After the initial crash, both cars came to rest in roadside ditches.

The 26-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt. His name will be released by WSP once next of kin have been notified.

The woman in the other vehicle was uninjured.

WSP said it is currently unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved in the cause of the crash.
