Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has been careful not to publicly criticize starting quarterback Kaidon Salter.

He’s made it clear, however, that the Buffs (2-4, 0-3 Big 12) need more from that position, especially as they face a No. 22-ranked Iowa State (5-1, 2-1) squad allowing just 18.2 points per game at Folsom Field on Saturday (1:30 p.m., ESPN).
