The judge agreed with the Crown prosecutor that the convicted killer, who can't be named, needs more time in custody to work on his rehabilitation

The Calgary youth convicted of manslaughter in the playground fatal stabbing of a city teen who was shooting hoops outside a southeast community centre must serve another year behind bars, a judge ordered Tuesday.

Court of King’s Bench Justice Eleanor Funk agreed with Crown prosecutor Vicki Faulkner that the convicted killer, who can’t be named, needs more time in custody to work on his rehabilitation.
