BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A person was struck by a semi-truck south of Bakersfield on Tuesday, according to the CHP Traffic Information page.
The traffic page reported a vehicle had struck a pedestrian at about 11:00 a.m. The incident was reported in the southbound lanes of Costajo Road, north of Bear Mountain Boulevard.
The victim was hit by a red Freightliner semi-truck, according to the CHP Traffic Information page.
Non-life threatening injuries to the victim were reported by the California Highway Patrol. The victim was taken to Kern Medical and the driver of the semi-truck remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
DUI is not believed to be a factor in this incident, according to officials.
