NISKAYUNA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The GE Aerospace Foundation launched its Next Engineers Program on Tuesday in Niskayuna. The global program aims to inspire and train local college and high school students for careers in engineering through mentorship and financial support.
GE Aerospace Foundation is partnering with the University at Albany, Schenectady’s Museum of Innovation & Science (miSci), and NY CREATES to bring the program to the Capital Region.
Next Engineers provides students ages 13 to 18 with hands-on learning experiences, career exposure, and college preparation to encourage them to pursue engineering careers. Since its start in 2021, more than 26,000 students have already gone through the program.
