VINEYARD, Utah (ABC4) — A small aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing on the shore of Utah Lake in Vineyard earlier this evening.

According to Orem Fire Department, a small aircraft made an emergency landing near Sunset Drive, which is on the shore of Utah Lake in Vineyard. Orem fire crews, as well as the Utah County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.

The plane had reportedly left South Valley Airport in West Jordan, when the pilot reported engine trouble. According to the Utah County Sheriff's Office, the pilot began to head t the Provo Airport and attempted to troubleshoot the issue.
