SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Following the funeral for President Russel M. Nelson, ABC4 spoke to attendees and members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints about the service and Nelson's legacy.

Amelia Petersen is a Latter-day Saint from Alaska, and she came to Utah for something else, but it happened to coincide with Nelson's passing and his funeral. "I actually didn't know that I was going to be traveling here for this, but I do believe that the lord wanted me to be here for this," she said.

She described the funeral service as powerful. "It was overwhelmingly powerful in such a hopeful way for me. I've been through some really kind of difficult, trying times lately, and to be able to be here and feel the spirit and the healing that comes from President Nelson's spirit, I know
