YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -- York City Council did not decide Tuesday on the fate of a proposed 140-camera surveillance system in the city.
It was the second time in one month that council members considered the resolution granting nonprofit York SafeNet permission to use city owned poles and right of ways for a network of 140 surveillance cameras. York SafeNet said the system would not come at a cost to the city.

After hearing nearly two hours of public comment on the proposal, the council voted 5-2 to again move the resolution, this time to its Oct. 29 committee meeting.
