Kane Cornes says Collingwood should trade superstar midfielder Jordan De Goey to address their glaring lack of talented youth coming through.

The Magpies had a good season in 2025, bouncing back into the top four after missing finals last season, only to run into eventual premiers Brisbane in a disappointng preliminary final.

But Cornes is convinced the club has a dearth of young talent that puts them on the edge of a slide down the AFL ladder.

For that reason, he thinks the Pies should explore a trade for De Goey, who had interest from St Kilda in 2022.
