BAINBRIDGE, Indiana (WJW) - Authorities are investigating the disappearance of an Indiana mother who hasn't been seen since a "suspicious" fire at her home nearly a week ago.

According to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, crews responded to a reported structure fire at a home in the 6200 block of E. County Road in Bainbridge just after 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1.

When they got there, first responders found smoke coming from the residence. While searching the home, officials didn't find anyone inside.
