EAST PEORIA, Ill. ( WMBDRADIO ) – East Peoria Police said there is no threat to public safety after an alleged stalking incident Sunday night.
Police said they responded to the Kroger just before 8 p.m. on reports a man was following a woman, who reported the man was allegedly “cat calling” her.
Officers said the woman left the store after checking out and reportedly observed the same man waiting in a vehicle with someone. The woman then took a picture of the vehicle as she drove by it, then noticed the vehicle follow her up to Springfield Road.
The woman then called 911 to report the activity, and drove to the East Peoria Police Department. Police said the woman reported the vehicle had returned to Kroger.
Police said the woman was offered a chance to pursue a Disorderly Conduct cha
