IOWA (KCAU) — Another candidate is throwing their hat in the race for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Republican Joni Ernst.

Thomas Laehn is running as a Libertarian for the position. He is currently the Greene County attorney. Laehn was first elected to that role in 2018 and won re-election in 2022.

His campaign website says that he is the 1st Libertarian in the state to win a partisan office.
