An arctic blast is set to leave Scots shivering as it sweeps across the UK leaving the mercury plunge as low as 0C, according to new forecasts.
Parts of northern Britain could see temperatures struggle to get above freezing towards the end of the month, meanwhile the rest of the country will be in single digits. The icy cold could set in two weeks from now at 6am on October 21, according to the maps generated using Met Desk data by WX Charts yesterday.
If the forecasts are correct this far ahead that means an icy blast is set to freeze parts of Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the North of England as well as parts of the Midlands overnight on October 22.
