One of six people charged in a multi-million dollar classic car theft case has been sentenced in a Belleville courtroom. Charlotte Johnston, 53 of Carleton Place, had pleaded guilty to forgery for her role in a case involving the theft of several classic cars from a Western Ontario dealer in 2023. The vehicles were then re-sold to unsuspecting customers who subsequently had them repossessed by police. Five Quinte region men, Robert Bradshaw, Gary Leblanc, Michael McRory, Roger Thompson, and Jack Bradshaw were also charged and are still before the courts. Johnston was given a 14 month conditional sentence, including 9 months of house arrest, and 70 hours of community service work.
