Stirling-Rawdon council will be considering modernizing its in-house billing and payment procedures in the coming weeks. At Tuesday’s meeting Councillor Dean Graff asked for a staff report on the costs involved and options available to make receiving and paying municipal tax and other bills more convenient for ratepayers and businesses. CAO Shelley Stedall said staff was already looking into making the billing and payment system more electronic but added that “e-transfers” would not be a good option for the municipality.
