A dying father dragged himself from his hospital bed for one final trip to his beloved local boozer. Terry Riley, 75, was a devoted regular at The Queen of Hope Street since it flung open its doors in 2023, and would frequently trek between the traditional watering holes from Liverpool city centre to the Georgian Quarter. ‌

The father-of-three, who previously grafted in customs at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, received his devastating lung cancer diagnosis in January following a painful back and sudden weight drop.
