An Emmerdale star has told fans 'that's a wrap' as they confirmed they'd exited the long-running show after a 'difficult' storyline.

It just a couple of months ago that viewers of the ITV soap were introduced to Macaulay Cooper in the role of Mike. He at first appeared to be someone helping Vinny Dingle as he opened up about his confused feelings towards his mate, Kammy Hadiq.

But in a shocking twist, Mike turned on Vinny, beating him up and threatening to blow his relationship with then-fiancee Gabby Thomas apart unless he paid him.

The storyline sparked complaints from viewers to the broadcasting watchdog, Ofcom, saw Mike briefly disappear, only for him to menacingly return with more threats towards Vinny, who was gearing up to marry Gabby.
