Netflix's fourth season of The Witcher has already split opinion amongst fans following a "cringe-worthy" moment in the first trailer. ‌

A fresh look at the upcoming season was released yesterday (Tuesday, 7th October), giving viewers their initial peek at newcomer Liam Hemsworth stepping into the role of Geralt of Rivia following Henry Cavill's departure. ‌

In season four, Geralt finds himself cut off from his companions Yennefer of Vengerberg (portrayed by Anya Chalotra) and Ciri (Freya Allan) whilst the Continent descends into warfare. ‌

A synopsis adds: "As their paths diverge, and their goals sharpen, they stumble on unexpected allies eager to join their journeys.

"And if they can accept these found families, they just might have a chance at reuniting for good", re
