Longtime educators Marti and Kyle Futrell were awarded the 2025 Excellence in Education Award by the Marble Falls Independent School District and Marble Falls Education Foundation .

The award recognizes MFISD educators whose dedication, service, and leadership make an extraordinary difference in the lives of students, teachers, and the community.

“We are excited to recognize the Futrells with this award,” said MFISD Superintendent Jeff Gasaway in a district media release. “Both Kyle and Marti Futrell have embodied the district vision of loving and inspiring students to achieve their fullest potential throughout their careers in Marble Falls, both in the classroom and outside of the classroom.”
