New York City police have identified two girls who died early Saturday morning in a tragic “subway surfing” incident. Last week, a 12-year-old girl reportedly snuck out of her home to meet her 13-year-old friend, and both lost their lives while riding atop a subway train, authorities said. Police responded to a 911 call at Brooklyn’s Marcy Avenue and Broadway subway station on October 4 around 3.10 am (local time), the New York City Police Department (NYPD), as cited by PEOPLE. “Upon arrival, officers observed two unidentified females, unconscious and unresponsive,” the statement read.
