ST. LOUIS - Three people were left injured after two separate shootings Tuesday evening and early Wednesday morning in downtown St. Louis.
The shootings happened hours apart and less than a mile away from each other. There is no indication from police that the incidents are related.
The first incident happened around 7 p.m. on the 800 block of N 9th Street after police say a 14-year-old and another suspect attempted to rob two men at gunpoint.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), one of the victims, a 45-year-old man, was carrying a firearm at the time of the shooting. Officials say shots were fired by the 14-year-old and the 45-year-old man. Both sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the shooting.
