A deadly crash had shut down a portion of Main Street in Apopka for hours on Wednesday morning.

The scene involved a blue Mustang with a smashed hood, and at least one person's body was visible on the road, surrounded by scattered items such as shoes and trash bags.

Apopka police spent hours at the site and eventually took a young man, believed to be the driver, away in handcuffs.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash and determining whether the driver will face charges.

Police have not confirmed the number of fatalities or released any names.
