ATLANTA — Police said they are investigating after a man was stabbed in the back near the Midtown MARTA station early Wednesday morning.

Atlanta Police officers flagged down MARTA officers at the Midtown station at around 3:46 a.m. in reference to the scene.

The victim was stabbed outside Peachtree Place Street on the sidewalk in the back under his left shoulder, police said.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition, according to police.

At this time, no suspects have been identified.
