Madeleine McCann's mum, Kate McCann, has made a heartbreaking admission from the witness box during a stalking trial today.

The 57-year-old took to the stand at Leicester Crown Court earlier this morning where the mother of the missing Madeleine gave evidence over the stalking accusations faced by two women, Julia Wandelt, 24, and Karen Spragg, 61.

Kate spoke out about both women who are co-accused, beginning with evidence over Wandelt.

The trial comes as the 20 year anniversary of Madeleine's disappearance approaches.

The youngster went missing from her family's apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, with her whereabouts still not known.
